We provide an overview of some recent results on classical prescribed curvature problems, obtained through isometric actions of cohomogeneity one and iterative methods. We focus on the Yamabe Problem, studying the special case of the Koiso-Cao Ricci soliton; the Optimal Partition Problem for the Q-curvature Problem; and the Prescribed mean curvature problem.
