Robotic-Assisted Proctectomy and Ileal Pouch
摘要
In patients with nonresponsive ulcerative colitis (UC) and familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), the restorative proctocolectomy with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis is considered the surgical gold standard. Literature suggests mini-invasive surgery when possible, and the robotic platform is considered a safe and feasible option in children. The robotic system provides a precise view during the rectal dissection, reducing the risk of perirectal nerve damage.
