Medial Hamstring Reflex (MHR)
摘要
The importance and value of the medial hamstring reflex (MHR) in testing for L5 radiculopathy is outlined in this chapter. The method and optimal patient position for MHR testing is outlined. Other less common signs of L5 nerve root involvement are also addressed including extensor digitorum brevis (EDB) wasting or softening and peroneal reflex. How to distinguish between L5 nerve root lesion and a common peroneal nerve lesion is also discussed.
