Although Molloy died on March 28, her funeral was delayed until April 4 because of the Easter holiday. Molloy’s family all came to Blackpool for the service except for her father, Kevin, who was not able. Poignantly, at the funeral Genevieve remembered Molloy’s son Joseph holding her hands, turning them over, and telling her that she had hands just like his mom’s. From the Holy Family Parish Church in Blackpool, the cortege drove to Carleton Cemetery for burial. Carleton Cemetery is in Blackpool but close to Carleton a village just outside Poulton-le-Fylde. Molloy’s grave is marked with a simple gravestone with an appropriately Catholic epitaph (Fig. 11.1).
