Sustainable living practices are essential for addressing environmental challenges, yet the factors influencing individual adoption of such behaviors remain complex. This study examines the mediating role of access to sustainable infrastructure and government policies and regulations in the relationship between environmental awareness, economic incentives, and individual sustainable living practices. A structured questionnaire was distributed via Google Forms, collecting responses from 432 individuals between June and December 2024, with 400 complete responses analysed. The study employed IBM SPSS and AMOS 26 for data analysis, including normality, validity, and reliability tests to ensure robust statistical assessment. Mediation analysis was conducted to test four hypotheses. The results revealed that access to sustainable infrastructure did not mediate the relationships between environmental awareness and sustainable living practices (b = 0.004, p = 0.519) or economic incentives and sustainable living practices (b = 0.024, p = 0.663). Similarly, government policies and regulations did not significantly mediate the relationship between environmental awareness and sustainable living practices (b = 0.020, p = 0.053). However, government policies and regulations significantly mediated the relationship between economic incentives and sustainable living practices (b = 0.133, p = 0.023), with economic incentives maintaining a direct positive effect (b = 0.296, p = 0.004). These findings indicate that financial incentives, supported by effective government policies, are critical drivers of sustainable living behaviors, while mere awareness and infrastructure availability may not be sufficient. The study underscores the need for integrated policy frameworks and targeted economic interventions to foster individual sustainability efforts.

摘要
