This research investigates best practices in hospitality management at island resorts in Iloilo, Philippines, in terms of service quality and guest satisfaction. A qualitative methodology was conducted through a systematic review and FGD to gain insight from professionals in the field of hospitality management and guests. The PRISMA framework was followed in the selection of related literature, while NVivo was used to analyze the themes. The findings showed that personalized guest experiences, sustainability practices, technological integration, and employee training are the key drivers of service quality. Other challenges identified included market competition, infrastructure limitations, and economic fluctuations, with an emphasis on continuous innovation and improvement in operations. The study thus recommends investment in the development of staff, digital transformation, and eco-friendly initiatives as ways to achieve better guest satisfaction and competitiveness. Other directions might be comparative studies of island resorts in different regions or the long-term impact of technology on hospitality management.
