The study explores issues that of small-scale farmers in Chitradurga district Karnataka have trying to get set into crop insurance scheme. This study findings, were based on a survey of 50 participants with a number of major difficulties, which included lack of knowledge, financial limitations, difficulty encountered in participation processes of crop insurance, and accessibility issues, faced by both tenant farmers without land ownership and agricultural land owners. As per this research is concerned, an appreciable majority of respondents with a family size, lack of faith in insurance effectiveness, challenges in understanding insurance procedures, and bureaucratic setbacks are to be the most important difficulties. The research findings underlines on such importance’s like targeted awareness initiatives, simplifying the subscription processes towards crop insurance, and crop insurance regulatory frameworks to be altered in relations to tenant agricultural land owners. This study report will also proposes to agricultural and other technological platforms to increase information accessibility and transmission. Large number of small-scale farmers will make use and be benefited of crop insurance scheme which has been initiated by the government to reach all level of farmers in a effective manner, if the mentioned obstacles are removed, which in turn agricultural risk can be overcome with financial protection to the farmers. The propose of cooperation is needed among the local communities, government agencies, and the crop insurance providing institution, that can instil confidence among the farmers and agricultural scheme of insurance will be successful in this area.
