A career in science education allows one to use their skills, experiences, and passion for learning to better understand science innovation and creativity, share and educate learners about investigation, analytics, and reasoning, and hopefully contribute to the overall well-being of society. To do this science education must be equitable and inclusive to provide diverse insights and perspectives. The journey through my career path as a science educator has been bittersweet, but utterly satisfying. This chapter shares selected events and experiences traveled through as a graduate science education student, early and mid-career science educator, and evolved leader who believes that sharing these experiences with others who will consider this career path, currently undergoing preparation and education, or have already in their mind, completed their career in science education will benefit from what I consider my truths and narration of shared experiences within the science education collective.
