Creating Community and Reducing Stress Through an Online Hip Hop Intervention in the COVID-19 Era
摘要
This study sought to replicate the positive impacts of a previous summer, Hip Hop-based counselling intervention (“Mixtape Camp”) as discussed by Levy and Travis (2020), but within an online environment. The online format emerged as a rapid response and crisis driven change in delivery due to the emergent COVID-19 pandemic. More specifically, the research goal was to assess the ability of this intervention to help significantly improve mental health and youth work and coping with the challenges of COVID-19 for high school students, aged 14–18.
