This chapter considers the values of youth work and music production and the ways these come together across the collection. Taking a critical focus on measurement it questions who and what is seen as (not) having value and the importance of effective measurement techniques. We consider how young people and musical cultures are measured and their value; what outcomes are achieved for young people through processes of youth work and music production and how these can be better recognised; and the opportunities and issues in evidencing this value when collecting data on outcomes and impact for organisations and policy.
