Digitization of Weighing Stations as an Element of Monitoring and Quality Improvement Systems in the Packaging Process
摘要
The article presents the implementation of digital automation of weighing stations as a key component of the monitoring system for the packaging process and the improvement of finished product quality. The primary objectives of introducing digital solutions were to enhance the stability of the weighing process, reduce the number of complaints, and optimize raw material usage. By utilizing advanced systems for real-time registration and control of weighments, the weighing process became more consistent, and deviations from nominal weights were significantly reduced. The collected data confirms improvements in key indicators, such as the reduction of raw material losses, better alignment of product weights with nominal values, and a substantial decrease in both overweight and underweight occurrences. Automation of weighing in the packaging process not only streamlined monitoring but also delivered measurable financial benefits, increasing the overall efficiency of the process.
