Steam gasification is an innovative method of processing electronic waste, based on thermal conversion of organic matter to synthesis gas. In contrast to traditional combustion methods, gasification uses steam, which allows effetive recovery of raw materials and minimization of harmful emissions. The article presents the raw material potential of type A printed circuit boards, pre-processed by steam gasification, in order to indicate fractions from which it will be possible to recover valuable metals: copper (Cu), gold (Au) or platinum (Pt) in subsequent technological stages using chemical metallurgy, pyrometallurgical and/or hydrometallurgical methods. The presented research results can be classified as part of development of elementary recovery technologies, which are conditioned by the processing of various types of waste into basic raw materials or possibly into new commercial products, different from those contained in the original waste.

摘要
