The aim of this paper is to discuss the specifics of the ISO 9001 standard and the IATF 16949 system and to describe the process of their implementation and functioning in an automotive company, including developing the essence, describing each part of the standard, principles, internal and external benefits, general and specific requirements and the objectives of a given standard. These tools are intended to improve the functioning of the organization, find stages in the process that require improvement and minimize the occurrence of inconsistencies. Implementation of such a standard allows to increase the level of quality in the company and the awareness of employees to engage in continuous improvement of the unit. In the analytical and design part, an example of the functioning of quality tools such as SPC was presented, and more precisely the MSA method, which is used to collect measurement data and further analysis of the results, described in the paper.
