Job Satisfaction Among Portuguese Workers
摘要
Employee satisfaction is a pivotal factor for organizational success, particularly in the unique context of Portugal with its distinct job market and cultural norms. This is why it has garnered significant attention from HR managers. Despite being a widely studied topic, the results of these studies are not always consistent. To contribute to understanding this topic in the Portuguese context, this work aims to evaluate the impact of demographic and organizational variables on the satisfaction of Portuguese workers. The data for this investigation were obtained through a structured questionnaire, which was answered by 445 workers from different organizations. These data were processed using SPSS software. The results of this study, which involved 445 workers from various organizations, revealed significant differences in worker satisfaction based on several factors. These include marital status, having dependent children, professional status, sector of activity, economic sector, and type of work. The most satisfied workers are those who are married or in a civil partnership, have dependent minor children, and work in a private company in the tertiary sector. These findings directly affect HR managers and organizational leaders, providing them with actionable insights to enhance employee satisfaction and organizational success.
