This paper explores the use of performance in education as a tool to foster social change and enrich the learning experience. The aim of integrating artistic practices into the classroom is not only to enable students to grow in knowledge, but also help them develop critical awareness and the skills needed to address social problems. Educational performance goes beyond transmitting content: it facilitates dialogue on issues such as inequality and justice while promoting empathy, reflection and cooperation among students. In addition to bolstering teamwork and understanding of diverse perspectives, these experiences make students ready to become agents of change. The methodology applied in this work is Arts-Based Research, a space for interaction between the realm of educational and the social context. This allows students to explore complex issues from a creative and practical perspective, while lecturers stimulate meaningful conversations that connect their performative experiences to relevant theoretical frameworks. Case studies are used to illustrate how these educational practices can transform how students perceive and engage with the challenges of today’s world.
