Reflecting on years of experience in research, teaching, and teacher education, I report on incidents that inspired the design of tasks used in teaching and in data collection for various studies. I refer to these incidents as curiosity triggers. I argue that a researcher’s personal curiosity is a driving force in enriching the outcomes of research.

Reflecting on years of experience in research, teaching, and teacher education, I report on incidents that inspired the design of tasks used in teaching and in data collection for various studies.
