Design and Implementation of an Android-Based Mobile Application for Educational Outreach and Monitoring of Stunting Prevention Among Toddlers in Indonesia
摘要
Stunting remains a critical public health issue in Indonesia, with a prevalence rate of 24.4% in 2021. This chronic nutritional deficiency has significant implications for children’s physical and cognitive development, positioning Indonesia 115th out of 151 countries in terms of stunting prevalence. This study aims to develop the mobile application “SI-ENTING” as an innovative solution for educating and monitoring stunting prevention in toddlers. The research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach utilizing the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The “SI-ENTING” application is designed with nine core features, including a stunting calculator, immunization tracking, health consultations, and nutritional education. The application was tested on 40 respondents using the System Usability Scale (SUS), yielding a score of 84.6, indicating a high level of usability. The findings demonstrate that “SI-ENTING” effectively enhances access to health information and supports stunting prevention efforts through the integration of technology with healthcare services.
