Prospects of Using Chemoresistive Nanostructured Sensors for Environmental Monitoring
摘要
The article considers the importance of monitoring the ambient air due to pollution by harmful gases such as CO, CO2, SO2, NO, NO2, etc., and the impact of the presence of these gases on human health and the occurrence of the greenhouse effect. It is shown that effective technologies for quick and simple air monitoring use gas sensors, among which chemoresistive or metal oxide gas sensors are considered promising. The features of the structure and application of electrochemical, optical, infrared, and chemoresistive sensors are considered. Special attention is paid to the consideration of metal oxide sensors, as a result of which several advantages are established that make them more promising in comparison with other sensors.
