Preformed crowns offer durable and esthetic solutions for managing extensive carious lesions and developmental defects in primary teeth. This chapter outlines the clinical indications, placement techniques for Stainless-Steel crowns (SSC), open-faced SSC, preveneered SSC, preformed zirconia crowns, strip crowns, and the recently introduced Bioflx® crowns. Stainless-steel crowns continue to remain the gold standard for primary molars due to their longevity, ease of placement, and evidence-based success. Zirconia crowns, with their superior esthetics and biocompatibility, are the preferred option for anterior teeth. The chapter elaborates on distinct clinical indications and technique of placement for each crown to help the operator in case selection and precise clinical execution.
