Traumatic Dental Injuries to the Permanent Dentition
摘要
Traumatic Dental Injuries (TDIs) to the permanent dentition are among the most unpredictable and demanding clinical situations encountered in Pediatric Dentistry. This chapter provides an extensive analysis of crown fractures, root fractures, crown-root fracture, and luxation injuries, outlining the clinical signs, diagnosis, and management strategies. The discussion highlights the need for timely diagnosis and intervention so as to reduce complications such as pulp necrosis, pulp canal obliteration, and root resorption. This chapter provides a decision tree after every traumatic injury for easy referral to the reader, complemented with cases that provide practical insights.
