The driver correlates the digital mobility service with the autonomous vehicle. Certain classifications of digital mobility services are specifically tailored for the driver, while other classifications relate to the driver indirectly. In this context, the present chapter scrutinises the legal status of the driver, the legal requirements for obtaining this status, and the various obligations associated with achieving it. Establishing this status is vital for eligibility in delivering digital mobility services. This chapter assesses the criteria for bestowing the status upon an artificial agent functioning independently within an autonomous vehicle and within an intelligent swarm.
