Tests for Gastrointestinal Sensory-Motor Assessment: Small Intestine
摘要
This chapter outlines the various available tests available to the onco-neuro-gastroenterologist to evaluate the small intestine, depending upon the presence and magnitude of symptoms suggestive of sensory-motor gastrointestinal disorder, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, or postprandial bloating. Some of these tests are not readily available in the community setting and referrals may be needed. Others are novel promising tools, currently at various stages of development and clinical implementation.
