This chapter highlights the key classes of drugs and specific agents used for symptoms and altered health-related quality of life in patients with disorders of gastrointestinal sensory-motor function. Neuro-gastrointestinal dysfunction may be direct, from a GI focus (i.e., esophageal, gastric, small intestinal, colonic), multi-regional, or indirect (primary or secondary), from an extra-intestinal origin of the tumor.
