 The current chapter is a summary of what this volume taught us about the subjective perception of what is fair. The chapters in this volume touch on this issue in a variety of ways including judgments about distributive, procedural, retributive, and restorative justice, with an overriding analysis of how the disruption of equity manifests in these types of justice. In this chapter we return to the analysis of the psychology of justice presented in Chapter 1 and explore how each of the symposium contributors’ work relates to these fundamental concepts.
