This chapter presents a philosophical and ethical exploration of death in the digital age. It applies an epistemological and normative approach to investigate the changing social mores surrounding loss and bereavement in the presence of digital technology. Every aspect of human social life, including death, has been changed by the presence of digital technology. The relationship between the living and death is not the same as a result of digital technologies. Understanding how digital technologies transform our understanding of death can help people have a more practical knowledge of how to deal with death and grief in our modern technological societies.
