Claudy Jongstra began her Studio as a fashion designer, completing her studies at University of the Arts Utrecht in the context of the emerging fast-fashion industry. However, upon entering the professional world, she faced a pivotal moment of disillusionment. The stark contrast between the creative ideals she developed in art school and the realities of mass production led her to completely reconsider her future work. This period of introspection culminated in a life-changing experience at an exhibition focused on wool.
