Economy of Love is a holistic sustainability standard inspired by SEKEM in Egypt. It supports biodynamic agriculture while integrating ecological, social, cultural, and economic efforts within the value chain. Through training, certification, and an innovative nature credit system, EoL enables farmers to improve soil health, increase biodiversity, plant trees, produce compost and earn additional income by reducing CO2 emissions through solar pumps. Since its launch, over 30,000 farmers have adopted EoL practices, transforming desert areas into productive farmland and contributing to climate mitigation. The initiative promotes fair trade, strengthens rural communities, and emphasizes education and cultural development. By aiming to include 250,000 farmers by 2028 and introducing biodiversity and water credits, EoL offers a practical and values-driven model that can be scaled in Egypt and beyond.
