This compendium explores the contributions of anthroposophy to the evolving field of sustainable development, addressing the urgent need for a more integral and culturally rooted response to the socio-ecological crisis of the Anthropocene. While mainstream sustainability discourses often adopt technocratic and one-dimensional frameworks, this publication foregrounds the neglected spiritual and cultural dimensions as critical to meaningful transformation. Tracing the roots of the crisis beyond the Industrial Revolution to the colonial expansion post-1492, it positions anthroposophy—a spiritual-scientific worldview initiated by Rudolf Steiner—as a historically grounded and practically applied approach to sustainable development. Through interdisciplinary contributions from 75 authors worldwide, the compendium highlights anthroposophical practices in agriculture, education, medicine, economics, and the arts, and introduces the concept of “Integral Sustainable Development,” which integrates inner and outer dimensions of human and planetary development. Emphasising appropriate anthropocentrism and a renewed Earth-human relationship, this work presents anthroposophy as both a theoretical framework and a practical path toward a cosmopolitan, ecologically resilient future. It aims to foster further research, dialogue, and cooperation within the global sustainability movement, while acknowledging the complexity and unfinished nature of its subject matter.

摘要
