An Adaptive Metric-Based Method for Privacy-Preserving Sharing of Anonymized Urban Mobility Data
摘要
A method for protecting the privacy of vulnerable road users’ mobility data using position and velocity information obtained from appropriate sensors, is presented. Two approaches are proposed for processing this information: agent-based and grid-based. Metrics are introduced to evaluate privacy and usability. Comparing the performance of these two approaches demonstrates that enhancing privacy often reduces usability while improving usability can compromise privacy. The proposed method enables real-time adjustment of the trade-off between these two measures. Designed to operate directly on sensors, this method ensures that only data meeting the required privacy standards are transmitted. Simulations illustrate the method’s effectiveness across various use cases.
