The educational reform of integrating information technology into civil engineering curricula under the background of emerging engineering education emphasizes the innovation of teaching modes and highlights the importance of practical teaching. It indicates that the cultivation of professional skills is more important than knowledge education, clarifying that professional knowledge serves only as a practical guide rather than the main focus of curriculum teaching. Therefore, this paper summarizes and analyzes the research content on the educational reform of integrating information technology into civil engineering curricula under the background of emerging engineering education both domestically and internationally to derive the current status of the research subject, thereby clarifying the research direction. It elucidates the concepts and characteristics of emerging engineering education, reflecting the importance of educational reform in civil engineering curricula within this context and providing certain theoretical support for the research. By proposing a reform plan and its effectiveness for integrating information technology into civil engineering curricula under the background of emerging engineering education, this paper verifies the research through specific plans and practical effects. Taking the carbon emission monitoring of a construction project as an example, it demonstrates the practical application of the research.
