Environmental art design major has distinct timeliness, representing the development of science and technology and the progress of contemporary civilization. In order to promote the information innovation of environmental art design concepts and design forms, broaden the development path of environmental art design, and stimulate industry creativity, this paper focuses on the research of the integration development path and development value of information technology and environmental art design. Through literature investigation and interview research on the relevant concepts of information technology and environmental art design, the artistic development value of their integration is summarized. Finally, the effective path of integrating existing information technology means with environmental art design is analyzed, and the high application value of geographic information systems, digital technology, information software, and virtual reality technology in environmental art design is verified through a case study of environmental art design in a city.
