Big data technology has become a research focus on multiple fields worldwide due to its outstanding potential for data processing and analysis. In education, especially in the realm of online learning, the application of big data technology is becoming increasingly common. Educators use big data technology to deeply explore students’ learning behavior data, covering multiple aspects such as learning habits, interest orientations, and skill levels, to provide personalized course content that meets the needs of each student. This article focuses on the construction of an intelligent English teaching model based on big data, aiming to optimize the allocation of teaching resources and enhance teaching effectiveness through data analysis methods. On this basis, we have developed a personalized English learning resource recommendation mechanism based on deep learning (DL). This mechanism can keenly capture students’ learning needs and interests, and push them to the most matching learning resources, thereby improving learning efficiency and motivation. Experimental verification shows that the system can accurately recommend the learning resources that students need, effectively improving their learning satisfaction.
