In this concise book, I have retraced how I went through the doctoral dissertation process. My focus on three themes (time perspective, strategic and entrepreneurial cognition and alertness, and entrepreneurial orientation) led to a multilevel and interdisciplinary project. Although the previous chapter includes some future directions, I hope readers can make connections between their own research interests and these themes such that they can envision other (hopefully multilevel and interdisciplinary) future directions and become interested in researching these three themes further. Some scholars may also consider other inspiring and contemporary future directions such as the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the TP-entrepreneurial cognition and alertness-O model and the resulting outcomes at other levels of analysis (e.g., societal level). Studying changes in roles and dynamics is of particular interest.
