Health and Illness Among Young People
摘要
Childhood and adolescence are periods of rapid social and psychological development. During this time, we become aware of ourselves and our relationships with others. This chapter begins by considering different approaches to the study of child development. It then focuses on the social representations of health and illness among children and young people and how these connect with their family and broader socio-cultural milieu. It highlights the importance of the setting within which the research is conducted and the research methods adopted.
