Preventing a Nuclear September 11th: Challenges, Solutions, and Concerns in AI-Empowered Analysis Software in Sensors
摘要
The events of September 11th in New York sparked fears of a nuclear attack with even more devastating consequences. In response, a defense-in-depth strategy was developed to reduce the likelihood of such a catastrophe. At the heart of this strategy lies artificial intelligence (AI), serving as the foundational cornerstone for various technologies. This paper examines the role of AI-empowered software in enhancing nuclear security within metropolitan areas, specifically addressing the challenges of analysis and the solutions provided by AI-integrated radiation sensors. However, these advancements come with ethical concerns and trade-offs regarding the use of AI-empowered software in sensors applicable to nuclear security domain.
