Unified File Storage with Self-hosted Nodes
摘要
The existing distributed file storage solutions are either restricted to full decentralization or do not allow for the incorporation of third-party storage providers in a manner that is agnostic to the type of storage being used. The main objective of this publication is to establish a distributed storage architecture capable of integrating various storage media into a unified and resilient storage pool. It aims to orchestrate contributions from different providers, maintaining data consistency and integrity across the distributed network. Another goal is the secure and efficient management of the heterogeneous storage types across the distributed storage infrastructure. This requires the development of a distributed storage architecture with the capability to consume different storage types, orchestrate the storage contributions from different providers, and maintain data consistency and integrity across the distributed network. By enabling the integration of diverse storage types and ensuring a robust, redundant storage architecture, this application addresses a critical gap in existing solutions and paves the way for more flexible and resilient storage infrastructures. This publication builds upon the “Semi-Decentralized File Sharing as a Service” [1] Publication.
