Layer deposition is an action that informs that a specific layer is deposited. The layer is specific because it is part of the design of a part. AM makes a part when layer deposition takes place for all layers of the design of the part. Processes and techniques are used interchangeably in AM. Deposition process is a family of AM processes or techniques that restricts how layer deposition can take place. It can take place only when there is a free space to be filled.
