On-demand production and on-location production are the advantages of AM. On-demand production means a product is made when it is required. On-location production means a product is made where (e.g., near the end-user) it is required. Both advantages are dependent on each other. For example, on-demand production has no value if the product cannot reach the location because of logistics. Similarly, on-location production has less value if the order to make products cannot be at the top of the queue of orders.
