Green supplier evaluation and selection is one of the most strategic decisions an organization needs to make. This study considers a green supplier selection and evaluation process for a pharmaceutical company as a fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making problem, as real-life decision-making environments are fuzzy in nature. This study focuses on the following areas: finding the suitable criteria set for the case company consisting of traditional and green criteria and finding their importance weights and ranking the alternatives for ensuring the best supplier. An ELimination Et Choix Traduisant la REalité (ELECTRE) model that works with fuzzy criteria weights has been used to determine criteria weights and the ranking of alternatives. Results have shown that the traditional criteria, especially cost and quality still got the most priority compared to the green criteria. Nevertheless, the green criteria set as a whole did play a vital role in the overall selection of suppliers, as the supplier of the highest ranking had a relatively lesser performance in quality and delivery time than the second supplier did. The novelty of this work lies in the industry selected as there is little-to-no work on green supplier selection has been done in this sector.
