Integrating E-Learning with CAD/CAM to Enhance CNC Education in Design and Manufacturing
摘要
This study evaluated the impact of integrating E-learning with CAD/CAM and multimedia tools to enhance university education in CNC design, programming, and manufacturing. It emphasizes the role of E-learning in providing flexible and personalized access to education through digital technologies. The research applied scientific knowledge to CNC manufacturing processes using digital tools like CAD/CAM software and CNC programming, facilitating practical learning and preparing students for automated work environments. SolidWorks was used for CAD modeling, CIMCO for CNC programming, and a virtual learning environment complemented in-person and online classes with project-based learning and continuous assessment. The analysis revealed significant grade improvements: a 46.67% increase in the evening session and a 16.21% increase in the night session. Evaluations improved by 15.31%, and laboratory practices saw a 42.52% enhancement. Students developed critical and adaptive skills in machining projects of varying complexity, with 86.66% positively rating the digital resources. Despite overall success, challenges such as insufficient technological resources and the need for innovative teaching methods were noted. Therefore, adopting active pedagogical approaches is crucial for advancing technical education.
