In recent years, a wide range of sensing platforms have been developed to detect numerous target analytes. Considering the excellent optical properties of quantum dots, such as their stability and high luminescence, they can be considered promising candidates for use as sensor probes for different analytes. The perovskite family has the advantages of defect tolerance, thermal stability, and outstanding optoelectronic properties. These characteristics increase their ability to sense various chemical and biological species. This chapter elaborates on the recent developments and various strategies used for applying perovskite quantum dots as sensor probes for different target analytes.
