Sustainable economic growth is a priority task facing the state and the regions. State and administrative activities should be aimed at implementing policies that will promote productive activity and the growth of human capital - the creation of decent jobs, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. When assessing the results of economic growth in rural regions, it is important to take into account the training of specialists for the agro-industrial complex. Moreover, it is important to study the educational process among preschool children and schoolchildren. This process forms the human capital of a region. The study is aimed at studying and assessing the impact of the educational component of rural human capital on the economic development of the southern region of Russia (Stavropol Krai). To achieve this goal, a list of indicators was selected for municipal districts of the Krai with 100% rural population. Key problems were also identified and priority areas of development were determined. Thus, the uneven development of educational potential in rural areas of the region affects the volume of agricultural production. In addition, the econometric model was synthesized. In addition, the synthesized econometric model enables to estimate the predicted values of the result variable.
