This recipe demonstrates an “end-to-end” approach to cover the complete warning chain from rapid hazard detection over decision support to capacity development of communities at risk and the implementation of disaster reduction measures. A tsunami scenario database including propagation and coastal inundation serves as potential input for probabilistic hazard and risk analysis. The corresponding hazard and risk maps serve the purpose to derive warning products in line with consistent response procedures.
