The purpose of this recipe is to develop methods for combining multiple tsunami rate estimates in the same region. These could, for example, be generated by multiple tsunami propagation models, source magnitude/frequency models, and/or empirical observations at sites. In this example we discuss a spatial tsunami forecast for the Caribbean region made from numerical models of runup, and a ~ 500-yr-long empirical catalogue.

摘要

The purpose of this recipe is to develop methods for combining multiple tsunami rate estimates in the same region. These could, for example, be generated by multiple tsunami propagation models, source magnitude/frequency models, and/or empirical observations at sites. In this example we discuss a spatial tsunami forecast for the Caribbean region made from numerical models of runup, and a ~ 500-yr-long empirical catalogue.
