This recipe presents the application of a PTHA methodology that combines the statistical treatment of tsunami hazards and sea level variation. The method improves on the existing approaches, where the treatment of sea level at the time of tsunami impact consists of adding or subtracting a constant sea level. The test site is the Bay of Cadiz in Spain characterized by a meso-tidal regime (higher than 2 m and lower than 4 m). The results are inundation maps expressing the likelihood of exceeding tsunami intensity measures (maximum wave elevation, maximum current speed and maximum wave forces).

摘要

This recipe presents the application of a PTHA methodology that combines the statistical treatment of tsunami hazards and sea level variation. The method improves on the existing approaches, where the treatment of sea level at the time of tsunami impact consists of adding or subtracting a constant sea level. The test site is the Bay of Cadiz in Spain characterized by a meso-tidal regime (higher than 2 m and lower than 4 m). The results are inundation maps expressing the likelihood of exceeding tsunami intensity measures (maximum wave elevation, maximum current speed and maximum wave forces).
