Resistance Committees are the symbolic form of organisation of the Sudanese revolution of 2018–19. They emerged in the first weeks of the popular uprising and quickly spread throughout the country’s cities and villages. Anchored in local neighbourhoods and socialities, they are in fact heterogeneous, and their organisational structures and models of action evolved throughout the revolutionary period.
