Mangrove ecosystems are vital for coastal protection, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration, yet face increasing threats from climate change and human activities. Effective monitoring, integrating diverse data sources, is crucial for their conservation and management. This study examines the integration of geospatial technologies (Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, and Global Navigation Satellite Systems) with field inventory methods for comprehensive mangrove monitoring. Satellite-based Remote Sensing provides broad-scale data for tracking changes in mangrove cover and health, while Light Detection and Ranging enables precise measurement of canopy height and forest structure. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles deliver high-resolution imagery for detailed assessments. Field inventories, incorporating ground-truthing, vegetation surveys, and biomass measurements, are essential for validating remote sensing models and ensuring data accuracy. This review highlights the synergistic value of combining geospatial technologies and field data for effective mangrove monitoring, addressing key challenges and knowledge gaps to support improved coastal zone management and promote sustainable conservation efforts.

摘要
