This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into STEM education from the perspectives of Malaysia and Kazakhstan, emphasising the potential for collaborative efforts to address shared challenges and drive innovation. Both nations recognise the transformative power of AI in enhancing STEM learning outcomes, bridging educational disparities, and preparing students for future industries. Despite common obstacles such as infrastructure gaps, limited teacher training, and digital divides, Malaysia and Kazakhstan have demonstrated a strong commitment to leveraging AI through initiatives like Malaysia’s AI TEACH program and Kazakhstan’s NURIS Innovation Cluster. The paper highlights the opportunities for joint development of AI-driven tools, such as virtual labs and localised simulations, tailored to their respective curriculums. These collaborations improve STEM education quality, strengthen bilateral relations, and set a benchmark for global partnerships in education and technology. By pooling resources and expertise, Malaysia and Kazakhstan can establish themselves as leaders in utilising AI to empower education and foster societal progress.
