Group Decisions in Authoritarian Hierarchies via Proritized Aggregation of Fuzzy Preferences

An conceptually new approach to a general problem of group decision making in authoritarian (strict) hierarchies of agents is considered in which a bad satisfaction of a top agents cannot be (fully) compensated by a better satisfaction of lower level agents. Group decision making proceeds on the basis of social fuzzy preference relation derived from the individual fuzzy preference relations via an aggregation. Yager’s [16, 17] prioritized aggregation operators are employed to reflect a qualitatively different character of agents in authoritarian hierarchies in which top level agent(s) play a special role. This is reflected in the social fuzzy preference relation using the prioritized aggregation. Remarks on some group decision solutions is added, notably on the consensus winner, in the new setting are given.
