AI and Crisis Management in Public Governance: Trends, Challenges, and Insights Through a Bibliometric Analysis
摘要
This study aims to explore the growing research on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in public governance within crisis management through mapping the intellectual structure of the existing research via a bibliometric analysis. Predictive analytics embedded in AI enhance decision quality, optimally manage resources, and increase the possibilities of accountability and transparency during health, economic, and environmental crises. By examining relevant articles published in Scopus and Web of Science, totaling 255 papers, the findings highlight that the scientific interest in AI and crisis public governance is ongoing, with an annual growth rate of 16.74%. Also, six thematic clusters were identified through keyword co-occurrence, giving insight into the primary research directions in the subject under examination. The paper contributes to a better understanding of how AI can reinforce governance in crisis situations and therefore yields directions for future researches.
